Chicago

Date: Thursday May 26 - Monday May 30

We spent the past few days at the Residence Inn in Lombard, a suburb of Chicago. We enjoyed having some room to spread out for a few days, and having someone else do the cleaning. The weather was abysmal!  We arrived to a day with a high of 54.  It rained most of the time we were there.

But the purpose of our visit was to see our son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Trish. They have recently purchased a lovely property in the suburb of Glen Ellyn and are in the process of building a new home. We enjoyed having the chance to see it, and them.

On Saturday, we all went to Wrigley Field to see a Cubs game.  Although we root, root, rooted for the home team, they lost 9-0. But it was still fun to see Wrigley Field, a great old-fashioned ballpark. As the photo shows, several of the houses in the neighborhood have built stadium type seats on the roofs, and sell tickets to the games.
