Ft DeSoto Park

Ft Desoto Park is a county park in St Petersburg, FL.  This may be the nicest campground we've ever stayed at.  The campsites are huge, private, and surrounded by lovely tropical plantings. Many, including ours,
are right on the Gulf with a gorgeous view. The beach was named the nicest beach in America in 2005, and I can see why.  After we checked out of the campground we took the RV down to the beach parking lot and spent the day on the beach.  It was like having our own little beach house!  We came back to the RV for lunch, had our showers at the end of the day, and made our dinner in there too.  After dinner we drove about an hour to the Coach House factory to get a repair done to our hot water heater. We spent the night in the parking lot, and were there waiting for them when the factory opened in the morning.
